Welcome to the "Osteria la Via di Mezzo"
The Via di Mezzo (The Road down the Middle) is named after a former Roman road, now called Via Soccini, which goes through the centre of Buonconvento. We wanted to let these old traditions live on, and named our restaurant "Osteria la Via di Mezzo".

The traditional smells and tastes of this part of the country can still be discovered in these beautiful ancient streets. Discover for yourselves the suggestive tastes. With our help you can satisfy your curiosity for the hidden delights all around you. Via di Mezzo stands for different cultures, a meeting point, a rest point, an exchange. The ancient Latins said "In medium stat virtus" In the middle is Virtue, and we take heed of this wise saying and offer you a balanced mix of hospitality, availability and friendliness to make your lunch or your evening more special in a comfortable Tuscan country environment for your and our satisfaction.
